So, I'm back in Toronto, and am currently very confused. (Two computers, two monitors, two keyboards, to mice, etc.... and they're all mixed up.) For those of you who have been complaining about me not posting -- *ahem* you know who you are -- I will warn you that my vacation begins as of tomorrow, so you're not allowed to bug me until May 10 when I start work. I don't plan on having reliable internet access until then, since it's not fair to completely take over MotivatedTea's stuff while I"m here. And, also, I'm on vacation!!! Wheee!
Drinking Friday was fun. I was a horrible influence and everyone got really drunk, except Barbie who, fortunately, was driving. Saturday morning rehearsal actually went extremely well, despite Friday, and I had a nap all afternoon so that I was in shape to do packing when my mom got there with the boxes. Not that I did much packing, so a huge thanks to my parents who did most of the work. Moving out was NOT fun. However, it's done now, and as I said, I didn't even do most of it. The concert was great, especially because my parents and Barbie went, and Van was playing, and also because it was a really amazing program. Stopped of at Aunt Toni's on the way home and discovered that the cookie cupboard still works. :)
Came home, moved half my stuff from the car to the hallway. Nowhere to put it, so I'll be cleaning for a few days before it all gets moved back in. Help would be welcome! (j/k. sort of)

So, most of what I have done this week is party - lightly. QP with commerce friends Mon night, lunch with my horn-playing friend Wed after my LAST UNDERGRAD EXAM EVER, lunch with Eva today (followed by some browsing and a bit of buying). Got mother's day and dad's b-day presents. Tomorrow will be some listening to music time, followed by drinks with Vanessa. But not alot of drinks, because it's her first time since her b-day, and I don't want to be a bad influence. Like I could ever be a bad influence on anyone. *grin*
Rehearsal and packing on Sat, concert and moving on Sunday, and it's on to my summer life from then.

A room full of roses, a pretty dress, and a glass of sherry. Today ended pretty well, all things considered. (Must now go in search of a chiropracter. Actually, more sherry will probably do the job. *grin*)

I hate studying.
In other news, I got 89% on my violin jury!!!!! (But most of you knew that already, because I brag.)

As usual, I will defend my lack of posting by claiming overwork and lack of consistant access to a computer. Also as usual, you will all accept this without complaint. (Because I can edit comments. lol)
Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates Easter, and happy other form of holiday to everyone who celebrates another form of holiday. My holiday started with work on Good Friday. A truly wonderful concert of Bach B Minor Mass, with a similarly wonderful guest conductor. (The one we were supposed to have broke his shoulder on Tuesday.) The best way to work is to be at a job where you áctually feel privileged to be there.
Took the 12:30am bus home. Got picked up by mom at 3am, because I am terribly spoiled. Got up for church in the morning. Went to family dinner with the extended family, and no siblings (who got out of it by claiming work), but it wasn't too bad, since they fed me pretty well, and I got to play with the baby. Well, toddler, really. He grew since the last time. Not much of a talker yet, but is very good at "uh oh."
Went to church this morning to hear MT sing and to celebrate Easter. Lunch with everyone except MT (who was out having fun instead), followed by the general packing and send-off of SuperSis. Two send-offs, actually. Most people in my family forget to make lists and leave things at home. :P Had a nap in the afternoon, since i haven't slept much lately, then did a bit of work, and general computer-catch-up. Oh, and I've just been reminded that the Leafs won. Ummm... yay.
Hopefully I will get real work done tomorrow.

I'm done my jury, and I WAS AMAZING!! I have never played the Bartók that well! I even got the horrible opening, and the impossible passage, and everything. I was so happy about the Bartók, that when I got to my Bach I was so calm that it sounded like a recording, instead of a stressed tired person (which is how it usually sounds when I play it). *phew* Now I can relax. (After being very happy and hyper for a few hours.)

From MotivatedTea and /.
Everybody knows there are only two food groups:
1. Things you put cheese sauce on.
2. Things you put chocolate sauce on.
And fruits/vegetables can not be together on the list -- fruit is in the chocolate sauce group and vegetables in the cheese sauce group.

Yet another university exam done, yet another course towards my degree achieved. Three more to go and commerce will be just a fond (?) memory. Now all I need is to find a cure for the massive hand-cramping caused by two hours of mad scribbling, so that I can practice before my jury tomorrow. Btw, anyone who wishes me luck for tomorrow will die a horrible and painful death. Feel free, however, to wish dire and painful injuries to be heaped upon me. I need all the luck I can get. *grin*

Ooooooh. It's been awhile since I've eaten "too much" chocolate (in quotes because there really is no such thing), but I might have hit that point today. I had cupcakes for breakfast, followed by rehearsal, and then dinner with Eva and Quantum Skyline, who were nice enough to treat me, since I had $1.06. (I now have $1.04, since I "put my two cents in" for dessert -- joke attributed to Eva.) Dessert was at DQ, where I ordered my usual - the ultimate chocolate thingy (chocolate sauce, chocolate chunks, and brownie bits on fake ice cream) with my regular alterations: easy on the ice cream, heavy on the chocolate. At DQ you really do get what you order. *grin* I am sad to say that I ALMOST finished it, yet was not able to manage the last few bites. My reputation is in ruins. I think I'll blame it on the stress of the past week, and promise to do better next time.

We got to hear our brass fanfares in class today. Unfortunately, they played mine second-to-last. Mine, for those of you who haven't seen it (ie. everyone), is basically a trumpet concert with back-up.... and it's in E major (for a Bflat trumpet).... and the high note is a Csharp. So basically I was EVIL. We have amazing trumpet players here, but they were just too tired after an hour of fanfares (mostly ff), so we didn't get to the part where I wrote in a line from the "hokey pokey." Aww. But what they did play sounded pretty good, if I do say so myself.
I have also decided that Hadyn's Creation is really nice. Highlights in the piece are:
1) Where it says "and they shall mulitply" it goes into a fugue.
2) The ble-e-e-ating of the sheep.
3) The insects sound creepy (we're playing pont.)
4) The ending. Because then it's over, and I can take a break. (Intermission is also pretty nice.) It's very very VERY long, and my brain hurts after rehearsals from thinking for so long.
