My course assignments are now all officially done. Three classes and one assessment left and I'm done! Cross your fingers that I won't wreck my winning streak (no marks of "incomplete") this late in the game.
Still not getting alot of sleep, but at least I'm getting more than I was a few days ago. I managed six whole hours last night! I might even get close to that tonight, if I get hopping. Even better, I had time to watch SYTYCD tonight and I am SOOOO glad I didn't miss it. One of the dances was so incredibly beautiful that I know I'm going to have to find it online so that I can watch it another ten times or so! Best of all, it was to music from Memoirs of a Geisha, which I loved (not the book much at all or the movie particularly, but just the music)!!
Hey, three exclamation points in one paragraph. Things must be looking up, after two months of stress. Having lunch/coffee/ice cream, depending on time, inclination and weather, tomorrow. Got big plans for the weekend, although none of them are of the holiday variety at the moment. What are all of you going to be doing?
I just have to say, for the record, that Eclipzes is evil. lol. I have barely gotten any sleep in the past two days because she got me hooked on this anime series and I had to watch it the same way that I have to read books when I get my hands on a new one, but I also had two major assignments due for class! Anyway, I watched all of the episodes and as of right now got all my work done, too. Oh, and I managed to fit in lunch (yay for sushi!) with Min yesterday, and I will be out for lunch with another friend tomorrow after class. After that I think I'm probably going to come home and sleep for two days, except for working a bit on a new piece that MotivatedTea found, finishing the Robot City series (again) and all the other books my mom bought for me today (yay for books!) and watching Scrubs episodes.
Tada! I'm back!
Sorry for the (record-setting) lengthy delay. Between stress and sickness, I haven't been able to blog at all lately, but that's all in the past now, so it's time to catch up.
Trip details:
I spent a weekend visiting Eclipzes, during which time we ate alot (sushi, cinnamon bread, vietnamese, chocolate, peanut brittle, cheesecake, shakes and fries/rings/fried cheese, and Mother's Day dinner including her uncle's special lamb. Bought two shirts that actually fit! No altering required! Got mildly addicted to an anime series which I can't afford to buy for myself so I have to wait until the next time I see Eclipzes. Played some Wii and decided that boxing training actually comes in handy for doing well in the game. *grin* So much fun! Thanks very much to Eclipzes for entertaining me for the weekend. It was great to catch up in person after so long!
I also spent the Saturday after that hanging out with a friend of Supersis's and MotivatedTea, which included going to the beach, having an English Tea, buying postcards, going to some galleries/museums and having Korea BBQ for dinner. Other than that, I mostly spent my time in the apartment studying or rehearsing for the recital, which went fabulously. Probably the best grad recital I have heard in seven years of university! The best part for me was getting to perform with both my siblings at the same time, and listening to Castles, which I hadn't heard SS play before but which were
beautiful!
Trip back:
My luggage didn't get lost, mostly because MotivatedTea and Dad took it back for me so I didn't have any to lose. lol. Got upgraded from a stopover to a direct flight. Sat next to the emergency exit and spent the whole flight trying very hard not to "see what happens if you pull the red handle." *grin*
Went to O to see my cousins' baptism. I'm a "godcousin" now. (Being a godparent to someone only a few years younger doesn't seem right.) It was great to see the service and it was particularly special for me because my cousin decided on her own, so it sort of meant more than people who do it later in life because they have to for one reason or another (eg. for marriage).
Went to the cottage to deal with sewage system issues. Thanks very much to M's husband for coming all the way up there to dig a hole for me. Ate alot of carrot cake and got some studying done.
Wrote my barads. Don't ask, I'm not thinking about them until I get the results which won't be for some time.
Graduated. Won an award, which was a nice way of finishing off the degree. Ended up driving home part of the way, which was good practice for highway night driving.
Went to Bubble's bridal shower. Accidentally bought the exact same gift as one of the other bridesmaids, but fortunately I had a second gift, which I thought went over well, even if Phalse didn't necessarily appreciate the sentiment. *grin*
Started my course last Monday. Going well so far. I really like my instructor, despite the people in the class who seem to think that the course is supposed to be a form of entertainment for us and are, therefore, disappointed. It's a half day, so that leaves afternoons/evenings to fit in some social events and still get my assignments/readings done.
Saw POTC3 last night, which was really great because I needed the time to relax. Put me in a pirate-y mood, which I think MotivatedTea found more amusing than annoying.
Those are the highlights. Other things may have happened, but this post is already too long. Now that my life is somewhat sane again, I can go back to regular posting, so keep checking in.
