A few things have changed since my last post. Bubbles has a new name, not that she has changed it on her online profiles yet, but she does. Congrats to her and Phalse Impressions. I threw myself a birthday party. I haven't transferred the photos yet, but I'm hoping they turned out well. LOTS of food. I think this was the first year that I was the last person still eating! (That probably has something to do with the fact that Bubbles and Phalse weren't there. lol.)
Quantum Skyline is leaving next weekend, which is sad and exciting at the same time. I will be playing in a wedding next weekend, and in the meantime I have rehearsals scheduled for both a quintet concert and a choir concert. It's not quite the same kind of music I had been doing while in school, but I'm glad that so far I seem to be able to fit some type of music into my otherwise very busy life. Finally, even with all of that, I'm managing some type of social life at the same time! I have dinner plans for Thursday and lunch plans for next week. Now if only I could keep myself in books, everything would be perfect. (I'm averaging two per day again and I keep running out.)
What a crazy few days this weekend has been! I worked late Thursday and Friday on something that I am happy to say was entirely successful in the end. I can't believe it's only my second week of work and already I'm starting to stack up a pile of completely independant cases, not to mention all the other projects that I'm helping out on but that aren't mine.
Friday night was the bachelorette party which, unfortunately, I only made it to for 1 1/2 hours. Other details cannot be mentioned here, given who my readership is. *grin*
Actually, it was a very girl-filled weekend, since Saturday ended up being girls' night with J&N and a few friends. Dinner and a chick flick. Don't worry, J. I didn't hate it. I can't hate movies with good music, and it had great music. I even like sad endings, particularly in comparison to the ridiculous Hollywood idea that everything has to be happy all of the time.
All of the work stress, waiting for bar ads results, wedding stuff, running errands, and occasional partying have worn me out somewhat. I felt particularly awful yesterday. However, with a few days rest (yay for Monday holidays), I'm sure I'll be back in working condition by tomorrow.
GUESS WHO PASSED THE BAR ADMISSION EXAMS!!!
